Ranging from a pale lemony yellow to a sunny deep gold, Citrine (Moh's scale 7) is the yellow member of the Quartz family. The yellow color is the result of the presence of iron. Citrine is an affordable gemstone that offers an excellent value since it is often mistaken for the more expensive Imperial Topaz. Citrine, along with Topaz, are the birthstones for November.
